A Halloween wedding means we have to do a moody engagement shoot. This engagement shoot took place at Guild Park in Scarborough in the early fall.
We recently filmed this music video for local Toronto band Featurette. Featurette is a Toronto-based duo formed by singer Lexie Jay and drummer, Jon Fedorsen. Like their synth-heavy dream pop contemporaries Phantogram and Tove Lo, FEATURETTE is influenced by the emotionally charged, heavy hitting electro-pop sounds coming from Northern Europe and New Zealand. We only had three crew members and a couple of hours to shoot this music video. We hope you enjoy it!
We met Jenni & Ben through friends who we had taken family and newborn photos for. They hired us through email, didn’t even get to meet the couple before the elopement. It was a very cold day so we worked as fast as we could before their ceremony to get a couple of photos. The wedding went off without a hitch, we love quaint elopements at city hall just as much as large weddings at big venues.
If you haven’t been to the Toronto Music Garden on Lakeshore you sure are missing out. We knew nothing of this park until we went to scout the area. The flowers, paths and garden architecture in the park is beautiful. Each area of the park is modelled after a mode in a piece of music.
We had a great trip to the Toronto Island with these two. There are so many special nooks and crannies on the island to take pictures. The flowers are always done so nicely by city staff. It’s a great location at anytime of the year.
We love using locations that mean something to the couple. Each couple has a unique story and using places that have a story or a special meaning make engagement shoots that much more special. Step and Andrea live near this park and take daily walks there, it was the perfect place for their engagement shoot. We also took a late night visit at the park right down the road from them to take a night time shot of the city.
These two ladies kept their engagement shoot and their wedding all in their hood. They did their beautiful engagement shoot with their little baby boy and got married on the hottest day of the summer! Old Mill was the backdrop for for this wedding, this location is such a great venue for a wedding. The food is good, the gardens are great and the old charm is amazing.
So many people love High Park, I would say it’s Toronto’s crowning jewel, but I may be biased as I grew up in the neighbourhood. Shelby and Adam also live in the neighbourhood and wanted to use the park as the backdrop to their engagement shoot. We took advantage of the water feature area and some of the densely wooded areas of the park. It was a hot summer’s night but the colour in the sky at dusk was well […]
This wonderful couple had a beautiful little boy just a few months before they got married and wanted to include him in their engagement session. We chose one of their favourite places to go on family walks, to Toronto’s High Park. It was a beautiful spring day, perfect for pictures.
