A Halloween wedding means we have to do a moody engagement shoot. This engagement shoot took place at Guild Park in Scarborough in the early fall.
The bride-to-be had recently finished her architecture degree and wanted a location for their engagement shoot to have amazing architecture so we decided on Osgoode Hall which is an architecturally significant (to Ontario) 19th-century building currently housing law offices & courts. They loved the photos as the location was so meaningful to them. The groom-to-be made the bride laugh so much which you’ll see reflected in the photos.
These next couple of posts are very far after they have been shot. With COVID-19 and us having to shut things down I did not have the motivation to post work that had been done right before the world shut down. At this engagement shoot, these guys had a very exciting announcement that they were pregnant (December 2019). We just photographed the first part of their wedding and they have a little toddler. Crazy how time flies. Nick and Terri […]
If you haven’t been to the Toronto Music Garden on Lakeshore you sure are missing out. We knew nothing of this park until we went to scout the area. The flowers, paths and garden architecture in the park is beautiful. Each area of the park is modelled after a mode in a piece of music.
This is a very special location for this couple. When they first met they’d take long walks through the trails at Heart Lake Conservation Area. It lended the best backdrop for these two.
It’s always fun to an engagement shoot at a location that means something to you as well as the couple. Steph grew up in Belfountain and was friends with the groom from high school. The Belfountain Conservation Area is a great place for an engagement shoot because it has so many different areas for different looks. When we were there it was very busy as it was a beautiful fall day.
We had a great trip to the Toronto Island with these two. There are so many special nooks and crannies on the island to take pictures. The flowers are always done so nicely by city staff. It’s a great location at anytime of the year.
We love using locations that mean something to the couple. Each couple has a unique story and using places that have a story or a special meaning make engagement shoots that much more special. Step and Andrea live near this park and take daily walks there, it was the perfect place for their engagement shoot. We also took a late night visit at the park right down the road from them to take a night time shot of the city.
So many people love High Park, I would say it’s Toronto’s crowning jewel, but I may be biased as I grew up in the neighbourhood. Shelby and Adam also live in the neighbourhood and wanted to use the park as the backdrop to their engagement shoot. We took advantage of the water feature area and some of the densely wooded areas of the park. It was a hot summer’s night but the colour in the sky at dusk was well […]
This wonderful couple had a beautiful little boy just a few months before they got married and wanted to include him in their engagement session. We chose one of their favourite places to go on family walks, to Toronto’s High Park. It was a beautiful spring day, perfect for pictures.
