This engagement shoot ended up being a little more adventurous than planned. With a teacup Pomeranian in tow we defended into the valley at David A. Balfour Park in the Rosedale area to take photos of Dana and Steven. These guys told us that they loved the outdoors but were unsure of where to go. We picked a great location near their home to explore and we think we got some great photos out of it!
Kelly and Alex got engaged under the stars and wanted their engagement shoot to reflect that. We created a shoot around that, exploring the wilderness and ended under a starry sky.
What an experience getting to shoot a wonderful couple with a couple horses. First off the people at HorsePlay Niagara were absolutely wonderful, extremely helpful and had beautiful horses. It was a HOT day and our couple were such sports working with the horses. Hot summer days make the nicest sunsets. Have you ever wanted to do a shot on horses?
Part One of Two engagement shoots with these guys. They’re awesome, alternative and very loving people. They let us play around, not only taking conventional pictures but also composite photos for their shoot. After the engagement shoot we went with them to a tattoo parlour to get matching paper airplane tattoos.

Sonia and Isac are a fun loving and hilarious couple, they have a business GrainDeep which creates custom laser engraved wood & suede products . They love making each other laugh and it’s obvious care deeply for each other. The smoke bombs were tons of fun, trying to integrate them creatively was a task as the wind kept blowing it away. We met this couple and bonded over our love for Harry Potter, we were kinda sad that we didn’t get to do a themed engagement shoot but our fingers are still crossed for the wedding. 😉 This shoot was a relaxed and casual walk around Lake Ontario, it was the first cold day of the year but these guys were champs and powered through the session. We can’t wait to shoot there wedding at Holcim Estate next summer.
